Hostile aircraft infiltration alert in the community of Yiftah

On the evening of May 2, 2026, Red Alert warnings were activated in the community of Yiftah in the confrontation line area due to fear of a hostile aircraft infiltration. The alert, which was issued at 19:12 by alert channels such as Tzeva Adom - Red Alert, Home Front Command, and Radar 📡 - Red Alert, instructed residents to immediately enter a protected space.

A few minutes later, at 19:16, the Home Front Command updated that "the incident has ended" and those staying in protected spaces could leave. A similar message was distributed in parallel by other alert systems, including Cumta - Red Alert and News Line.

Shortly after the end of the incident, reporter Guy Varon reported on the 🇮🇱News Channel 8200🇮🇱 channel that this alert turned out in retrospect to be a "false alarm". There were no reports of damage or physical casualties during the brief incident.
