The Southern Command announced a point-specific opening of Route 10 to travelers for the weekend, while clarifying that other firing zones in the north and south will remain closed.

In accordance with the operational situation assessment, the IDF Spokesperson announced that the Southern Command will allow the opening of hiking trails in the south of the country during this coming weekend, which had been defined until now as a closed military zone. According to the report, the route will be opened in the section between Ezuz and Karkom.

Opening hours details:

• Friday (May 1st): Between 09:30 - 16:00.


• Saturday (May 2nd): Between 08:00 - 16:00.

Entry to the route does not require prior coordination, but according to the IDF Spokesperson, travelers will be required to present an ID card and register at the entrance. Additional entities that covered the event, including Hot News, Security Flashes 24/7, and Voice of News, confirmed the details of the procedures and noted that this is a point-specific easing of restrictions.

The IDF Spokesperson emphasized that despite the opening of Route 10, the IDF will continue training in the rest of the firing zones in the south and north of the country. In light of this, these areas will remain closed to civilian entry. Media outlets such as News Line and News Arena echoed the military's directive and called on the public to refrain from entering prohibited areas in order to allow security forces to complete their missions.
