Extensive wave of IDF strikes in southern Lebanon

A tense day passed on the northern front on April 30, 2026, as according to Lebanese sources and Israeli reports, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of extensive strikes in southern Lebanon. Abu Ali Express, identified by its positions with harsh criticism of Hamas and Iran, reported that fighter jets carried out sorties and released flares over southern Lebanon throughout the day.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health, along with reports in the official NNA news agency, updated that at least nine people were killed in the strikes, including two children, and dozens more were injured. According to Nitzan Shapira and Political Arena, the strikes focused on several centers, including the villages of Gibchit, Toul, and Harouf. Furthermore, Epoch - Magazine noted that strikes were also carried out in Sultaniyeh, alongside heavy artillery fire toward Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Mifdoun.

In an additional report, Abu Ali Express stated that two of the fatalities were killed in an Israeli drone strike that hit a motorcycle in the village of Chehabieh. The Al-Mayadeen channel, identified with pro-Iranian and Hezbollah positions, confirmed the casualty count and reported 17 wounded in these strikes.

As of these hours, the IDF has not yet released a detailed official statement regarding all the targets, but sources in Lebanon emphasize the intensity of the strikes carried out throughout the day in many villages in the south of the country.
