According to reports from Varzesh 3, the club attempted to file an appeal and even turned to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) with a request to reopen the document registration system, but this request was rejected by the AFC.

The decision, which was reported extensively by other media outlets including Akharin Khabar and Esteghlal Fans Channel, leaves Sepahan out of the AFC Champions League 2. Iran International Sport, which is identified with a critical stance toward the regime, noted that news agencies close to the Revolutionary Guards such as 'Tasnim' and 'Fars' were the first to report on the club's failure to regulate its license.

Following the disqualification of Sepahan, a legal and sporting battle for the vacant entry ticket has begun. According to Varzesh 3, a "complex club of quotas" has been created as clubs like Persepolis, Gol Gohar, and Chadormalu fight for the open spot. Persepolis, for its part, even announced that it intends to file a complaint against the league organization to the AFC regarding the management of the competition, as reported by IRNA News Agency.

The situation raises heavy questions regarding the future of Iranian representation in the tournament, as club management and Football Federation decisions are at the center of public criticism. While some clubs are waiting for judicial rulings, it seems that the uncertainty in the table and in the conference rooms only intensifies the structural crisis in local football.
