The Tehran Stock Exchange opened the trading week on Friday with extraordinary performance. The official data distributed by خبر فوری جنگ ایران and آخرین خبر indicate that the general stock index jumped by about 79,000 points, reaching the threshold of approximately 4.15 million points. According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), which is affiliated with the Iranian government, 98% of securities closed in positive territory, and the value of stock purchase orders (Order Books) was estimated at about 30 trillion Iranian Rials.
Experts quoted by IRNA noted that "the fingerprint of government support for the stock market is clearly evident in the rise of the indices," and added that even the most optimistic analysts did not anticipate the intensity of the surge after the reopening. At the same time, while the stock market recorded gains, reports indicate an outflow of investor funds from gold-based funds.
In parallel with the economic activity, data were published on the recovery in the cultural sector, as IRNA reported that about 5,000 spectators attended 7 theater plays in Tehran over the weekend, which points to an attempt to project normative stability in parallel with the positive trends in the capital market.
