New guidelines for pilgrims ahead of the Arbaeen ceremony
The Iranian Police (FARAJA) published an urgent directive today, May 30, 2026, to the public of pilgrims ahead of the Arbaeen ceremony. According to reports, all travelers must ensure that the validity of their passport exceeds six months. If the passport validity is shorter than this period, pilgrims are required to act to replace it immediately.
Options for passport renewal
In an official announcement published in several channels, it was noted that the Iranian police clarified that there is an "option for renewing the passport in person (frontally) as well as online." This directive is intended to prevent unnecessary delays at border crossings for the masses of believers expected to make their way to Iraq.
