The Meteorological Service in Iran issued a forecast today, Saturday, May 23, 2026, indicating unstable weather conditions in several central regions of the country. According to a report by the خبر فوری جنگ ایران channel, known for its up-to-date and rapid coverage of internal Iranian events, "downpours, thunder, lightning, and strong winds" are expected today in the northern parts of the provinces of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, and Ardabil, as well as in North Khorasan and North Razavi Khorasan.

In addition to the activity in the northern regions, the channel notes that the forecast includes the "highland areas of the Alborz Mountains," which are expected to experience similar phenomena.
