Iran: The Conscription Organization issues an urgent call to regulate the status of recruits
During the day, May 16, 2026, the Conscription Organization of the Iranian Police (FARAJA) published an official announcement addressed to all men of conscription age born between the years 1355 and 1387 according to the Persian calendar (1976 to 2008). According to reports, all recruits – whether they have accumulated a period of absence or not – are required to regulate their legal status with the authorities within the allotted time frame.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, which is identified with the position of the government and the official establishment, failure to comply with the schedules will result in the citizen being defined as "absent" (deserter) and various "social restrictions" will be imposed on them. This notice was widely distributed on various Telegram channels, including اخبارفوری, Student News Agency (SNN.ir), as well as local media outlets such as Mashhad Latest News and Khuzestan.
As part of the guidelines, the authorities emphasized that recruits must act as soon as possible to avoid legal and social consequences. As noted on SNN.ir, recruits were directed to receive further information through the organization's official channels on local applications such as Soroush, Eitaa, and Rubika, under the title "khabaresarbazi".
The call comes as part of a broad move by the security establishment in Iran to tighten supervision of the human resources pool designated for military service. Although the notice was distributed through a wide range of channels, it is an official announcement from state bodies, with the reported channels serving primarily as platforms for conveying the Conscription Organization's operational instructions to the general public in Iran.
