Islamic Jihad threatens response to Flag March in Jerusalem

In reports by Iranian news agencies IRNA and SNN.ir|Student News Agency, which are affiliated with the regime in Iran and present a distinct hostile line toward Israel, an official statement was published by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement spokesperson, Hamad al-Hajj Mousa. In the statement, the organization condemns the holding of the "Flag March" in Jerusalem and the entries into the Temple Mount compound.

According to the report on SNN, al-Hajj Mousa claimed that these steps constitute "open aggression" against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and termed the march "an attack on the heart of the nation and a symbol of its honor." He emphasized that these events place the "living forces in the world" before a historical responsibility to protect the holy sites from what he defined as a "Judaization project."

At the end of his statement, the spokesperson declared that the protection of Jerusalem remains a "fundamental pillar in confronting the Zionist project" and that all of Israel's attempts to control the city will fail in the face of the Palestinian people's steadfastness, as reported in IRNA.
