In a report published today, May 13, 2026, information security expert Ali Khiaee-Far revealed new details about a series of significant cyber breaches that struck the financial system in Iran. According to the information, strategic institutions including the Central Bank of Iran, Bank Pasargad, and Bank Sepah, alongside the crypto exchange "Nobitex," were all targets of these attacks during the "twelve-day war."

A particularly surprising claim raised by Khiaee-Far concerns the methods of execution: he claims that the breach of the Nobitex exchange was carried out using a "zombie server" located inside a religious institution in the city of Qom - the "Women's Seminary." The reports, which come from channels identified with rapid news reporting and sometimes inclined to publish security and intelligence content in the region, emphasize that the damage to vital institutions was carried out using sophisticated methods that exploited the country's internal communication networks.
