[55874] Tehran responds to Netanyahu: "We have not yet finished our account with those who committed the crimes"
Iran threatens revenge over Netanyahu's remarks
In the shadow of regional tension, Iran International — a media outlet associated with the Iranian opposition and a harsh critic of the regime — reports that the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, responded last night to the remarks of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that "the war is not yet over." According to Baghaei, the Islamic Republic "has not yet settled the account with those who committed such a crime against us," and added that if an opportunity is given to the armed forces, they will exploit it "in the best possible way."
Similar messages also appeared on the Hamian-e Pezeshkian channel, associated with supporters of President Masoud Pezeshkian within Iran. The channel emphasized that the regime stands behind the spokesperson's remarks, who stated that "we have not settled the account with those who acted against the Iranian people," and that they are waiting for an operational opportunity to respond.
In addition, Baghaei addressed questions regarding the possibility of blocking the Strait of Hormuz in response to the escalation. According to Iran International, the spokesperson clarified that the Foreign Ministry is subject to the decisions of the "regime hierarchy" and does not act as an independent body in matters of sovereignty, thereby hinting that any strategic decision, including military steps in the strait, rests with the supreme leadership of Iran and not with the diplomatic echelon.
