The chairman of the Tehran Automobile Dealers Association claims that even though the actual volume of sales and purchases is very low, interested parties are managing to create fictitious "Price Making" in the market.

Professional sources point out that the increase in vehicle values does not stem from real demand or actual transactions, but from "atmosphere creation" (Joo-sazi) by figures operating behind the scenes. According to the report in IRNA News Agency, the result is extreme price distortion.

As an example of the absurdity prevailing in the market, it was noted that a model such as the Peugeot 207 is now priced at about three billion Tomans. The impact of the manipulation is also evident in the imported vehicle market, where a dramatic jump in price was recorded - from a range of five billion to 9 billion Tomans.
