[47702] Echoes of Propaganda and Memory in Tehran: Revolutionary Guards Publish Materials on Their Leadership
Telegram channels identified with the Iranian regime publish content glorifying senior Revolutionary Guards officials and emphasizing loyalty to local production.
Emphasizing the Messages of the Revolutionary Guards: Public Mobilization and Personal Glorification
In a series of publications from the last 24 hours, media channels identified with the governing establishment in Iran are working to strengthen national cohesion around the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). Akhareen Khabar Khouzestan distributed a festive photo showing those defined by them as "martyred Sardars" – Mohammad Bagheri, Hossein Salami, Mohammad Pakpour, and Ali-Mohammad Naeini, during the "Great Prophet" exercise. Presenting them as martyrs emphasizes the narrative of personal sacrifice at the top of the military command.
At the same time, Akhareen Khabar Khouzestan published a profile story on the state's leadership, according to which the Supreme Leader refused to receive foreign coronavirus vaccines, insisting on using only Iranian-made vaccines. The report, which relies on the words of the leader's medical team chief, is intended to present a personal example of self-reliance and patriotism.
Conversely, the Khorasan Online channel focused on the strategic level, citing an official statement by the Revolutionary Guards that glorifies public presence in the streets. According to the report, the military establishment views public presence as a "missile battery" and a "strategic resource" at Iran's disposal against its enemies, primarily the United States and Israel.
All the mentioned channels are clearly identified with the official propaganda line of the Iranian regime and do not present criticism or a counter-narrative to their claims.
