The victory celebrations of Paris Saint-Germain over London Arsenal in the Champions League final deteriorated into a wave of riots and looting in at least 15 cities across France. According to data from the French Interior Ministry, security forces arrested about 780 rioters, while 219 people were injured and one death was reported. The police had to use tear gas in Paris, and about 22,000 police officers were deployed throughout the country to restore public order.
