In a series of belligerent statements published on June 16, 2026, the commander of the Iranian army, Major General Amir Hatami, emphasized the strength of the Islamic Republic in the face of what he defined as attempts by the enemy to bring about the fall of the regime and change the map of the region.
According to a report by Al Mayadeen channel (a channel identified with the Axis of Resistance that disseminates positions close to Iran and Hezbollah), Major General Hatami stated that "if the enemy makes any mistake, it will face a decisive and harsh response." An identical message was also broadcast on the Gaza Now channel, where it was added that the enemy sought to overthrow the Iranian regime but failed, and that these attempts ultimately led it "to seek a ceasefire."
In an additional report published on Al Mayadeen - قناة الميادين, it was emphasized that Iran is at an unprecedented point of strength on the international stage. Hatami noted: "We will strengthen the Iranian victory by enhancing deterrence, so that no one will dare to think about attacking our country."
At the same time, the Nabatieh channel and the Beirut Time channel added that Major General Hatami specifically noted that even during previous events such as the "Ramadan War" and the "12-Day War," the enemy tried to subdue Iran without success. According to Gaza Now channel, the enemy will face "accumulated rage" if it continues its current line of action, a situation that will make things "most difficult for it."
