[85052] Criticism in Israel over Trump's policy toward Iran: "Frustration with the final result"
Reports in Palestinian and Arab media indicate growing dissatisfaction in the Israeli establishment in light of the emerging US-Iran agreement.
Political tension: Israel fears Trump's agreement with Iran
According to reports in Al-Mayadeen and other media outlets associated with the Axis of Resistance, criticism is growing in Israel toward the US administration in the context of the negotiations with Iran. According to Yedioth Ahronoth, as reported on Al-Mayadeen channel, the assessment is that "the US administration, by neglecting the negotiations with Iran, has returned Israel to a reality of limited freedom of action and fragile deterrence."
Israeli sources quoted in Al-Mayadeen express deep frustration with the political results and state that "the frustration is great, and had we known in advance that this would be the final result, there is great doubt whether we would have gone to war." The sources add that any Israeli action against Iran might be perceived in Washington as an attempt to torpedo an agreement that Trump presents as a personal achievement.
At the same time, Tasnim Agency reported on the de facto removal of the US maritime blockade over Iran, with the passage of three oil tankers and two cargo ships. Sources associated with Al-Mayadeen emphasize that there is great embarrassment in Israel surrounding the inclusion of Lebanon into the text of the agreement, which is perceived by them as a "US surrender to Iran."
On the ground, reports in Al-Quds Network indicate continued Israeli military activity in southern Lebanon, including shelling on the Ali al-Taher and Jabal al-Rafi' ridges, alongside fire from armored vehicles east of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip.
