Sharp escalation in the north: heavy exchange of fire between the IDF and Hezbollah in Lebanon

During the last day, a significant escalation was recorded in the northern sector. Al-Jazeera Channel reports that according to the IDF spokesperson, Hezbollah violated the ceasefire agreement, which led Israel to act with force against the organization's targets in southern Lebanon. In this framework, the IDF distributed evacuation warnings to the residents of many villages and called on them to move north of the Zahrani River.

Hezbollah responded with rocket barrages and widespread drone launches. According to Al-Jazeera Channel and reports identified with the organization such as War Media, dozens of rockets were launched towards Nahariya, Safed, Karmiel, Meron, and Kiryat Shmona. Radio Voice of Al-Quds quoted Hezbollah as saying that the organization attacked "enemy army infrastructure" in Nahariya and the Meron base with missiles. Al-Mayadeen Network, identified with the Axis of Resistance, emphasized Hezbollah's use of attack drones ("drone swarms") against military targets and even reported a severe strike on a house where an IDF battalion commander was staying, a claim that received widespread coverage on pro-Lebanese channels.

At the same time, Al-Jazeera Network reports that IDF forces are involved in ground combat, including attempts to advance near the town of Dibbine, where Hezbollah reported that its fighters laid an ambush and detonated explosive devices against IDF forces. Lebanese sources reported a series of widespread IDF airstrikes in Nabatieh, Mashghara, Kfar Roman, and other areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.

Simultaneously with the fighting in the north, Al-Jazeera Network and Quds Network reported on continuous military activity in the Gaza Strip, including artillery shelling and IDF attempts to destroy buildings in the Beit Lahia area and the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, resulting in casualties among civilians in the area of the Firas market in Gaza City.
