Hezbollah publishes vague hints amid tensions in southern Lebanon
On May 20, 2026, several media channels identified with Hezbollah and the "Axis of Resistance" published a coordinated message including a verse from the Quran. The message, which was distributed among a wide audience of followers, is based on Surah Al-Hashr (verse 2): "وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُم مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُونُهُم" (And they thought that their fortresses would protect them).
The publication appeared simultaneously on the following channels, known for their clear line of support for the organization and its military activity:
- الإعلام الحربي - التغطية الإخبارية and الإعلام الحربي في المقاومة الإسلامية – channels serving as the organization's military propaganda arm.
- شبكة قدס الإخبارية and وكالة شهاب | عاجل – news agencies identified with the anti-Israel line and working to spread narratives of the "resistance".
- النبطية حاضرة جبل عامل〄 Nabatieh – a local channel in southern Lebanon.
The quote, which emphasizes the claim that the enemy's fortifications will not help them, was published without detailed commentary, indicating the nature of synchronized psychological warfare. According to the report in الإعلام الحربي - التغطية الإخبارية, the message is directed directly at the security perception of the other side, using religious and symbolic language characteristic of the organization's propaganda during periods of military alertness.
