[51387] Wave of attacks in Gaza and Southern Lebanon: Ministry of Health reports numerous casualties
Military escalation in the Gaza Strip and the Northern Front
Over the past day, a series of IDF attacks were reported at various locations in the Gaza Strip. According to data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, as reported by Al-Mayadeen channel, 3 Palestinians were killed and 11 others were injured. Since the beginning of the fighting on October 7, 2023, Palestinian sources state that the death toll has reached 72,615 and the number of injured has reached 172,468.
Notable events in Gaza City and its south
Rescue forces are operating at various strike locations. Quds Network reports that a Palestinian was killed and others were injured as a result of "artillery shelling near Kuwait Square" in the south of Gaza City. Simultaneously, Gaza Al-Aan channel reported an airstrike in the area of Bahloul Junction in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City, in which civilians were killed and wounded, including children, as noted in the Nablus Post.
Casualties in additional locations
Further attacks were reported in the area of Al-Jalaa Junction and Al-Oyoun Junction, where unmanned aerial vehicles attacked gatherings of civilians. Radio Sawt Al-Quds updated on one fatality and one person in critical condition as a result of a drone strike at this point. Additionally, Shehab Agency noted that IDF vehicles opened fire east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Activity in Southern Lebanon
In parallel to the escalation in Gaza, incidents were also recorded in Lebanon. Al-Mayadeen channel reported artillery shelling directed at the town of Al-Mansouri. Further attacks were documented in the towns of Zotar El-Sharqiyeh, Al-Khiam, and other locations in the south of the country, as reported by Palestine Post and Nablus Post.
