Various sources, including Axios, report that Iran has submitted an official proposal setting a one-month ultimatum for negotiations with the United States. The proposal, consisting of 14 points according to the Tasnim Agency, focuses on ending the war "on all fronts, including Lebanon," opening the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the naval blockade, and freezing economic sanctions. Iranian officials, as quoted by Al Jazeera, clarified that they "will not discuss the future of the nuclear program until a permanent ceasefire is achieved."

At the same time, US President Donald Trump addressed the proposal, noting that he "studied the outlines of the agreement" but expressed great skepticism regarding its acceptance. A Sputnik report quoted Trump as saying that "Iran has not yet paid a sufficient price" for its actions and that there is a possibility of continued military strikes against it. Trump even described the naval blockade on Iranian ports as "very pleasant."

On the ground, conflicting reports are being received regarding the enforcement of the blockade. The Tanker Trackers website claims that an Iranian oil tanker carrying 1.9 million barrels managed to slip through the blockade and reach the Far East. Conversely, a report in Israel Hayom cites American sources stating that the US will continue to impose a blockade on Iranian oil exports in the coming months.

In the local arena, channels identified with the Axis of Resistance, such as Radio Al-Nabatieh, present the move as a comprehensive initiative designed to force the US to withdraw from the region and end its involvement. However, the picture emerging from Western and regional media highlights the deep gaps that remain between the parties, with Trump leaving the door open for further military escalation should the negotiations fail to bear fruit according to his demands.
