Escalation on the northern border: Hezbollah reports offensive actions

During Thursday, April 30, 2026, the War Media of the Islamic Resistance published a series of military communiqués reporting on the organization's offensive actions against the IDF. According to these statements, which are defined as part of the "protection envelope for Lebanon and its people," forces destroyed a 155mm cannon south of Yarin on the morning of April 30 using a suicide drone.

At the same time, several channels affiliated with the organization, including [[[South Lebanon]]Enemy Spotter](https://t.me/rasedal3ado138e), Shehab Agency, and Resistance Path, reported that fighters shot down an IDF "Hermes 450 - Zik" UAV using a surface-to-air missile over the city of Nabatieh at 10:30 AM. The Resistance Path channel noted that the value of the downed aircraft is estimated at 7 million dollars.

In another report published on Nabatieh, Capital of Jabal Amel 〄 Nabatieh, operations carried out on April 29 were detailed, which included attacks against Merkava tanks in the Al-Qantara and Beit Lif areas, as well as against troop concentrations in Bayya. The organization justifies these actions by claiming they are a "response to the Israeli enemy's ceasefire violations" and to attacks carried out against civilians and homes in southern Lebanon.

The reporting channels, identified with the Axis of Resistance, emphasize in their messages the commitment to "defending the land and the people" in the face of what they call "the crimes of the Israeli enemy." As of now, no official comment has been released by the IDF Spokesperson regarding these incidents.
