According to TurkishNews, which is associated with political and economic coverage, the chances of the Turkish Parliament passing the framework law before the summer recess are diminishing. The report notes that sources in the ruling party, the Justice and Development Party (AK Parti), claim that no verification has been received on the ground that the PKK organization has indeed laid down its arms.

On the other hand, AK Parti spokesperson Ömer Çelik emphasized that the party has a "full will" to advance the legislation under one critical condition: laying down arms. According to Çelik, as also published in Gündem Hattı, the party views this process as a top priority, but stresses that "a legal framework must be established" that is dependent on the organization's commitment to stop fighting completely.

Internal sources in the ruling party, as quoted in TurkishNews, clarified that contacts between the AK Parti and the DEM Party (pro-Kurdish) have shown that it is currently impossible to verify the disarmament on the ground. "We will only discuss the strong presence of disarmament; beyond that, we will not discuss anything, as politics has done its part," a party official stated.

Meanwhile, it was reported in Gündem Hattı that Ömer Çelik criticized the public discourse, which he claims does not sufficiently emphasize the organization's obligation to lay down its arms as a threshold condition for any settlement. In addition, Çelik referred to a separate security incident in Kırıkkale, where two people were killed in an explosion at an ammunition destruction field, and noted that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
