During the afternoon hours of June 23, 2026, Ukrainian security officials issued urgent warnings regarding a ballistic attack. Повітряні Сили ЗС України (Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), the official body responsible for air defense, reported in two separate notices on "Загроза застосування балістичного озброєння з Криму" and on "Загроза застосування балістичного озброєння з півдня!".

The military monitoring channel war_monitor, identified with ongoing tracking of military activity, added that it involved suspected launch of "Iskander" missiles or the operation of S-300/S-400 type air defense systems by Russian forces. The Telegram channel ∆✙🍒Гнила черешня🇺🇦✙∆, which adopts a clear pro-Ukrainian stance, reported simultaneously on "Загроза балістики на додачу".

After a short time, Ukraine's Air Force officially announced "Відбій загрози застосування балістичного озброєння" – meaning the removal of the threat to the airspace. The incident concluded without reports of casualties or damage to infrastructure following the reported launches.
