Wave of UAV attacks in Ukraine
Throughout the day (June 22, 2026), official sources in Ukraine reported an extensive penetration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the country's airspace. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of ongoing activity of jet-powered UAVs in the Chernihiv region, with the vehicles moving along both western and eastern routes.
The єРадар Telegram channel, which focuses on air raid alerts, reported in detail on the movement of the vehicles in the Novgorod-Siversky, Olishivka, and Kulikivka areas. According to the channel, the UAVs performed maneuvers in the area, and were even observed moving towards the Chernobyl region. Another report from Aeris Rimor confirmed that jet-powered UAVs were identified as "scanning the Chernihiv area."
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force updated on the movement of hostile aircraft in additional locations across the country, including a flight towards Kryvyi Rih and the identification of UAVs arriving from the direction of the Black Sea towards the coastal settlements of Serhiivka and Zatoka. Additionally, movement of UAVs was reported on their way towards the Kyiv region (Vyshhorod Raion).
These reports reflect an ongoing Russian aerial effort to harass targets in various regions of Ukraine simultaneously. The reporting Ukrainian media outlets operate in coordination with the country's air defense system and are intended to provide real-time alerts to residents in the threatened areas.
