Coalition tensions: Gafni issues an ultimatum
A new political crisis is threatening the coalition's agenda. According to a report by Zirat HaHadashot and Political Updates, Member of Knesset Moshe Gafni has clarified to the coalition heads that he does not intend to allow the advancement of legislation without a solution to the issue of the Daycare Law.
According to the report in Zirat HaHadashot, Gafni issued an unequivocal ultimatum: "As long as the Daycare Law is not approved - no law will pass, including the Communications Law." This demand constitutes a direct threat to the government's parliamentary stability in the current session.
Gafni's threat, who also serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, is expected to freeze many legal and political moves that the coalition sought to advance in the near future. These channels, which are identified with ongoing political coverage, point out that the dispute surrounding the Daycare Law has become the main focus of the current budgetary and political crisis within the coalition factions.
