This morning, June 22, 2026, an earthquake occurred in the Black Sea region. According to reports from TGRT HABER, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) released official data regarding the seismic event that took place in the early morning hours.
According to information published on Gündem Hattı, the earthquake was measured at a magnitude of 3.9 on the scale. The event occurred at 08:48, with the epicenter located at coordinates 44.29 North and 33.20083 East.
It was further reported that the depth of the tremor was measured at 6.15 kilometers below sea level. As of now, authorities in Turkey have not reported any casualties or damage to infrastructure as a result of the tremor.
