[93911] Fear of Ebola outbreak: Second case in Israel within a week
Vigilance in the healthcare system: Fear of another Ebola case in Israel
Over the last 24 hours, concern has risen regarding an unusual health event in Israel, after it was reported that another person has developed symptoms suspicious of infection with the Ebola virus. This is the second such case within just one week.
According to the report on Daniel Amram Uncensored, a channel characterized by its criticism of state institutions, the patient sought medical attention after suffering from fever, headaches, and diarrhea. These symptoms appeared after the patient returned from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a known hotspot for outbreaks of the virus.
At the same time, News Line confirmed the details of the case and noted that it is a "suspicion only" at this stage. According to News Line, the Ministry of Health emphasized that "the necessary tests are currently being carried out" in order to formally verify or rule out the suspicion.
The case is attracting significant public attention, with concerns being expressed on social media regarding the potential for the spread of the virus. As of now, the medical system is waiting for laboratory results to determine the further steps required for isolation or treatment, if necessary.
