Reports in Lebanon of a difficult encounter and a failed raid attempt by an Israeli commando force
According to reports from the Al-Mayadeen network, a media outlet identified with the Resistance Axis, an infantry force from the Israeli Commando Brigade attempted to infiltrate toward one of the flanks of Tel Ali Taher early Saturday morning. According to the report, the Israeli force "was under the eyes of the Mujahideen," who set a "high-quality ambush" for it.
Al-Mayadeen's political sources claim that upon the force's arrival at what they defined as the "killing point," the organization's operatives opened fire and engaged in face-to-face confrontations that lasted over two hours. It was further claimed that during the battle, missiles and suicide drones were deployed toward the rear of the force.
The reports quote field sources claiming that "the resistance succeeded in killing and wounding more than 15 officers and soldiers" from the advancing Israeli force. According to the sources, the enemy was forced to use "smoke shells and airstrikes in order to extract its dead and wounded from the area" (Al-Mayadeen Iraq).
In other networks such as النبطية حاضرة جبل عامل, it was emphasized that Tel Ali Taher remained "impregnable to the occupation forces." In addition to the military campaign, the sources noted that Iranian television reported the holding of high-level meetings between Iran, the US, and Qatar regarding a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon and the issue of frozen Iranian assets.
