During the morning of June 21, 2026, a series of "Kinzhal" ballistic missile launches were reported crossing Ukrainian airspace. According to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force, the missiles were first detected over the Chernihiv region on their way to the Kyiv region.

Local Telegram channels, led by Київ Головне, reported flight paths passing over Brovary, Boryspil, and the Vasylkiv area. Simultaneously, the Times of Ukraine channel, which maintains a distinct pro-Ukrainian line, reported that one of the missiles "bypassed Kyiv and fell in the Starokostiantyniv area."

Various sources, including Реальна Війна, described the end of the event: "The explosion was heard in the Khmelnytskyi region. The target is no longer identified." Similar reports from Україна Online confirmed that after tracking several missiles, the systems stopped detecting the targets, which indicates an impact, interception, or crash of the munitions during flight.

Despite the drama in the skies, Ukrainian officials have not detailed any casualties or property damage as a result of the launches, and most sources focused on real-time tracking of the missile trajectories to warn residents in shelters.
