Media networks identified with the regime in Iran have highlighted criticism directed at the American administration, presenting a comparison between the policy toward the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the treatment of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sabereen News Channel, a channel identified with an anti-Western and pro-Iranian line, cited a post by an American user questioning what they call a "contradiction" in U.S. foreign policy. The post claims that while Maduro was arrested based on an arrest warrant, Netanyahu, who the author claims is "wanted in 124 countries," received an invitation to the White House six times. The author of the post demands an explanation for the difference in treatment between the two cases.

SNN.ir, the Student News Agency, which is close to the academic and political establishment in Iran, also echoed the same claim in its report. The agency presented the question directed at the American administration regarding consistency in enforcing international warrants, highlighting the tangible gap between enforcement actions against certain leaders and cooperation with the Israeli leadership.

The reports reflect a common narrative in Iranian media that seeks to undermine the legitimacy of U.S. policy in the international arena, using internal American democratic discourse to point out what they define as the "hypocrisy" of the West.
