According to a report by the NTD Hebrew News channel, which identifies with critical stances toward the Chinese regime, documents have been exposed indicating that senior officials in the US Democratic Party received donations totaling at least $1.1 million from large Chinese companies between the years 2020 and 2024.
According to the report, the information is based on documents published on the OpenSecrets website, which tracks political campaign financing. Among the prominent individuals noted as recipients of donations are former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Additionally, it was noted that funds were also transferred to the Democratic National Committee and party action committees.
The companies cited as the source of funding are Alibaba, BYD, and Baidu. NTD Hebrew News emphasizes that "The US Pentagon recently defined Alibaba, BYD, and Baidu as Chinese military companies, as they assist the Chinese regime's military."
According to the documents cited in the report, the parties that transferred the donations were mostly company executives, senior lawyers, and lobbyists.
