The US Senate unanimously approved this week a sharp declaration condemning the actions of the Chinese regime and its leader, Xi Jinping. According to NTD News Hebrew, a channel identified with a distinctly critical line toward the CCP, Senator Rick Scott presented harsh accusations against Beijing: "Xi Jinping hates us, Communist China wants to destroy us." Scott detailed a series of atrocities, including "genocide and crimes against humanity on an industrial scale" against the Uyghurs, organ harvesting, the distribution of raw materials for fentanyl production, and support for global terrorism.
At the same time, economic policy toward Tehran is being debated in Washington. According to Cruz, this is a misguided policy that is not consistent with the anti-American rhetoric of the Islamic Republic's leadership.

Senator Bernie Moreno argued that easing sanctions on Iranian oil could lead to an increase in supply in the global market, which would lower prices and assist the US economy. Moreno added that such a move would allow the US "better tracking of oil flow" and create channels of dialogue with China, which is one of Tehran's primary oil buyers.
