Drama and Delays on Exam Day in Adana
Exam day in Turkey, usually accompanied by great tension, produced several unusual incidents in the city of Adana on June 20, 2026. Reports indicate logistical difficulties and human errors that affected students' attempts to arrive on time for the TYT exam.
According to a report by TRT Haber, a Turkish state news network often associated with the government line, an unusual incident occurred when a student who arrived at the 90th minute for the exam forgot to engage the handbrake on their vehicle after parking in a rush. The incident was also reported by Sansürsüz Medya +18, a channel known for its critical and uncensored approach, which confirmed that the student did indeed forget the handbrake on their way to the test.
In a separate and more unfortunate case, the Sansürsüz Medya +18 channel reported that another student was forced to give up on the exam after forgetting their identity card. According to the report, despite attempts by police forces on-site to assist, the student was unable to arrive on time. In an emotional quote published by the channel, the student noted: "There is nothing to be done, thank God for everything. They tried to help", as he thanked the security forces for the effort they took to assist him.
