This morning, June 20, 2026, Ukraine once again observed the national minute of silence held at 09:00, as reported by a wide range of official and military channels. The daily ceremony is dedicated to the memory of the "soldiers and civilians" whose lives were cut short as a result of Russian aggression.

The official channel of the Kyiv City Administration (KMDA) called on residents to "stop and remember those whose lives the war has taken," while the operational channel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Operatyvnyi ZSU) emphasized that this is a daily memorial ceremony that expresses respect and honor for the heroes. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also defined the moment as a "daily ritual of gratitude, respect, and memory."

Suspilne Kherson noted that this is a commemoration of all those who perished as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Ivan Sirko emphasized that "Ukraine freezes in a minute of silence" to honor those who gave their lives for the freedom of the country.
