Military escalation in Southern Lebanon: Wide-scale airstrikes
Over the past 24 hours, an intense wave of IDF airstrikes has been reported in Southern Lebanon. According to reports from Al Jazeera, the Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes in the area of the city of Nabatieh and the vicinity of the town of Kfar Remen. Sources affiliated with Iranian media, such as the Fars News Agency, report that the strikes also targeted the Kfar Tebnit area and the town of Meidoun in the Beqaa Valley.
According to reports originating from the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) as published by Fars News, the strikes, which included the use of aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, led to the destruction of residential buildings. Al Jazeera stated that according to the Lebanese news agency's data, at least five people were killed in the cities and towns in the south of the country as a result of the strikes.
Al Mayadeen network simultaneously reported on additional strikes in the Tyre district, noting that an IDF unmanned aerial vehicle attacked a motorcycle in Kfar Remen Square, an action they claim led to an additional fatality. The Akhbar al-Safa (IRGC) channel highlighted that the strikes also included the town of Choukin.
It should be noted that all sources reported here — Al Jazeera, Fars News Agency, and Al Mayadeen — are distinctly identified with a line that challenges Israeli activity in the region and present a narrative that emphasizes the harm to the civilian population and residential buildings as a result of the "Zionist regime's" activities.
