[90788] A night of intensive strikes in Southern Lebanon: Dozens of dead and wounded among IDF and Hezbollah forces
A night of fire in Southern Lebanon
During the night (19.06.2026), intense military activity was reported in the northern sector. The IDF Spokesperson updated that a reserve officer was severely wounded, and three reserve NCOs and one career NCO were lightly wounded as a result of an explosive drone strike in Southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.
Simultaneously, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported a dramatic rise in the number of casualties on the Lebanese side, with about 47 dead and 97 wounded as of noon. Abu Ali Express, a channel identified with a firm security stance against Hezbollah and Iran, detailed that the strikes focused on the "hot sector" in the Ali al-Taher ridge and the Nabatieh district, and even reached as far as the Baalbek area.
Reports in Lebanon, as noted in Hadashot 360 and Abu Ali Express, indicate a wave of mass flight of residents from the Tyre, Nabatieh, and Bint Jbeil districts toward the north of the country, following the intensity of Israeli fire. Or Fialkov noted in this context that the scale of the strikes, which included over 80 targets, is perceived by him as "too little and too late."
There is ambiguity regarding the situation on the ground, as Hadashot Online reported that the Lebanese "Al-Mayadeen" network claims there were more than 16 Israeli airstrikes that occurred after an alleged ceasefire was announced at 16:00. While Arab and Lebanese sources emphasize the impact on the civilian population, Israeli sources focus on the disruption of terror infrastructure and the damaging of Hezbollah's strategic assets.
