In a hearing held today at the High Court regarding the election of Ravello to the position of State Comptroller, Justice Noam Solberg clarified that the court is considering issuing an order nisi on the issue of secrecy in the vote. As reported by Amit Segal, Justice Solberg noted that "some of the votes are problematic," though he emphasized that for now, they are inclined not to intervene in the conflict of interest issue.

In a detailed report by Netael Bandel & Co., Justice Solberg was quoted describing an "unwanted cloud" hanging over the process, noting that some Knesset members acted against the guidelines of the Knesset's legal counsel. Solberg proposed a "procedural remedy" that does not interfere with the substantive discretion of the Knesset, but rather demands a proper procedure: "In simple Hebrew: do it again."

The court clarified that it is awaiting the parties' responses to this proposal by Sunday. Regarding the question of whether an interim order will be issued to freeze Ravello's entry into the position, Solberg stated that a decision on the matter will be given later.
