Political-Security Tension: The Negotiations on Southern Lebanon
According to reports from the 'Reuters' news agency, cited by a variety of Israeli Telegram channels, intensive and "stubborn" contacts have been taking place in recent days between Israel and the United States regarding the continued presence of IDF forces in Southern Lebanon. A senior Israeli official noted that Israel has no intention of retreating from its current positions in the area.
The report was widely published by 301 News Arab World, a channel focused on Middle East coverage, and simultaneously by Yair Goldblatt - Security and Middle East, which analyzes the security arena. The YINONEWS channel, identified with right-wing positions expressing support for Netanyahu and the Trump administration, also echoed the matters while emphasizing Israeli determination.
At the same time, the News Arena channel confirmed that talks are taking place surrounding "the continued deployment of IDF forces in Southern Lebanon." As of now, it seems there is a consensus among these sources that the government is facing American pressure but is refusing to change its current security deployment in Lebanon.
