Ukrainian President Zelensky warns that Moscow will burn just as Ukraine is burning, following the attack on oil refineries in Russia.
Zelensky threatens Moscow: "If Ukraine burns - your Moscow will burn too"
Following a series of attacks carried out this morning, June 18, 2026, against oil refineries in Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent a stern message to the Russian leadership. According to him, the military action is not just a military tactic but a direct response to the Russian attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra complex.
On the Abu Ali Express channel (which tends toward positions identified with right-wing and security elements in Israel), Zelensky was quoted as saying: "If Putin does not want to end this war and seeks to continue it, we will not sit quietly. We will respond".
In another report on Carmel News - חדשות, which emphasizes Western support for Ukraine, it was clarified that the Ukrainian president sees these attacks as a necessary step: "The response must be strong and just", this in response to the Russian bombardments on civilian and religious centers in Kyiv.
As of this hour, the Ukrainian message is clear: the continuation of fighting on the part of Russia will lead to active responses and a direct hit to the heart of the Russian system, including Moscow itself, with the aim of exerting pressure on the Kremlin to change its policy in the ongoing war.
