[87221] Kyiv City Council clarifies: emergency medical services are operating as usual even during air raids
Official clarification regarding the operation of emergency services in Kyiv
The Kyiv City Health Department (KMDA) issued an official statement today, June 17, 2026, refuting reports that emergency medical teams have refrained from providing assistance to citizens during air raid alerts.
According to the report from Реальний Київ | Украина, the authorities emphasized that the information regarding the "untimely provision of emergency medical aid during air raid alerts" is incorrect. City officials maintain that the city's emergency medical system operates without interruption, regardless of the security situation.
Similarly, the channel Киевский Движ noted that according to the authorities' statement, "emergency aid operates around the clock even during air raids." Both reporting channels present the position of the municipal establishment uniformly, without presenting conflicting narratives or claims from other parties on the ground.
This statement comes as part of an effort to reassure the public in Kyiv and prevent the spread of misinformation that could cause panic regarding the availability of life-saving services during wartime.
