[87215] Another forced evacuation wave in the Dnipropetrovsk region due to security escalation
The Ukrainian authorities have announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children from 23 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region in light of the deteriorating security situation.
Mass evacuation in the Dnipropetrovsk region
According to reports from Dnipro ODA, regional authorities in Dnipropetrovsk have begun a forced evacuation process for families with children from 23 settlements in the Synelnykove district (Sinelnikivskyi). The move focuses on the Shakhtarsk, Dubovykyvka, and Bohunivka communities, and according to Suspilne Dnipro, the operation began on June 15 and will continue until July 14.
Evacuation data and scope of the operation
According to data published by media outlets such as TSN news and Novyny.LIVE, approximately 3,800 children are expected to be evacuated from the designated dangerous areas over the coming month. In addition to this plan, the evacuation of adults from seven other communities in the same region continues. Local government officials note that more than 49,500 residents have left the Synelnykove district so far.
Expansion of the evacuation to the Nikopol district
In addition to the Synelnykove area, Dnipro Operative reports that the process is also expanding to the Nikopol district. Families with children have already been evacuated from the settlements of Novokyivka, Illinka, and Vyshchetarasivka. Furthermore, the evacuation of residents from certain streets in the city of Marhanets and about 100 residents from the city of Nikopol itself is underway.
Assistance to the evacuees
Dnipro ODA emphasizes that the evacuation is carried out free of charge through transit centers, where residents receive financial, medical, legal, and psychological assistance, as well as help with restoring documents and housing. The channels Times of Ukraine and Realna Viyna emphasized the urgency of the forced evacuation, which reflects the complex security reality at the regional front.
