Security developments in the Gaza Strip

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich provided an update on the operational situation in the Gaza Strip. According to the gdh channel, Smotrich claimed that IDF forces continue to advance within the Strip and currently control about 70% of its territory. The minister emphasized that "there will be no reconstruction without demilitarization," and noted that the security establishment is formulating plans to continue dealing with the dismantling of the Hamas organization.

Conversely, the DoğruHaber channel, which identifies with a sharply critical stance toward Israel, presents a different snapshot regarding the agreements reached in October 2025. According to the channel, IDF forces have committed over 3,269 ceasefire violations since October 10, 2025.

The channel further claims that during this period, 997 Palestinians were killed in the Strip, 3,152 people were wounded, and 95 others were arrested. In addition, the channel criticized the policy for the entry of humanitarian aid, noting that out of 147 thousand trucks that were supposed to enter according to the agreements, the entry of only 52,740 trucks was approved.
