The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported this morning, June 17, 2026, the arrest of three suspects in the Adygea, Tyumen, and Krasnodar regions. According to reports from media outlets in Russia, the detainees allegedly acted as agents of the Ukrainian security services and planned to carry out terrorist attacks against military personnel, volunteer organizations, transport facilities, and energy facilities.

According to reports from the RIA Novosti agency, the suspects held detailed instructions from their Ukrainian handlers. Military correspondents of 'Russian Spring' (RVvoenkor), a channel with a distinctly pro-Russian stance, added that during a search of the suspects' homes, an "improvised explosive device based on foreign-made plastic explosives" was seized, as well as incendiary devices.

The Kommersant newspaper, which reported on the incident, noted that criminal cases have been opened against the suspects for preparation to commit a terrorist attack and illegal use of explosives. The authorities are now considering filing charges against them for treason as well. The RBC channel confirmed the details and emphasized that the suspects were under intelligence surveillance prior to the arrest.
