During the day of June 16, 2026, several Ukrainian Telegram channels, led by МАДЯР🇺🇦, reported a significant strike against the Moscow oil refinery. According to the reports, the operation was carried out by drone units of the SBS in close cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Military Intelligence (GUR).

МАДЯР🇺🇦, identified with an assertive Ukrainian nationalist stance, described the action as "retribution economics" and pragmatic punishment without emotion, declaring: "The capital will stand forever! Moscow will fall!". The channel emphasized that this is part of an ongoing effort to strike Russian economic assets.

Similar reports also appeared on the channels Supernova+ and Polonsky news | PN UA, which align with the Ukrainian narrative highlighting the damage to strategic infrastructure inside Russian territory. The channels noted that this is part of a coordinated move by the Ukrainian military command.

The sources emphasize that the operation was intended to create pressure on the Russian system. As of now, no official confirmations have been received from the Russian side regarding the extent of the damage or casualties as a result of the explosions reported at the refinery.
