According to a report by Kan 11 | Arab-Palestinian Desk and 🎗️Israel News IL🎗️, the Lebanese Finance Minister, Yassin Jaber, announced that Lebanon has formulated an economic emergency plan aimed at assisting residents of the country's south who are gradually returning to their homes.

As part of the report, the minister noted that the Lebanese government is capable of providing a budget of "between five hundred and six hundred million dollars" for the rehabilitation effort. According to him, the money will be used as "part of the emergency response to meet the basic needs of the Lebanese population that has returned to villages in Southern Lebanon" (according to a Kan 11 report).

In an interview with the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar," Minister Jaber emphasized that the current economic situation is fundamentally different from the period immediately following the 2024 ceasefire. He noted that while in the past "there were no funds available to assist the displaced residents of Southern Lebanon who returned to their homes," the country is now better prepared to provide budgetary assistance for the rehabilitation of the region.
