[84874] Reports from social networks: Mass dawn prayers at the Temple Mount and calls for support for Gaza
Dawn prayers and religious calls in Arabic media outlets
During the morning of June 16, 2026, several Arabic Telegram channels reported mass gatherings for dawn prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The Quds News Network and Quds Channel published documentation from the prayer at the "Musalla al-Qibli" on the Temple Mount, using language that emphasizes the religious and spiritual importance of the moment.
Channels identified with an aggressive ideological line toward Israel, such as جنوب لبنان (which takes a distinct anti-Israel and pro-Hamas stance) and Salfit News, linked the prayers to the political and security situation. The channel جنوب لبنان wrote that the land does not forget the foreheads of the worshipers, and an explicit call was published: "Allah, protect the fighters and the Mujahideen who guard the borders, grant them victory and strength."
At the same time, a wide stream of religious content channels, including ادعيه رمضان ، قرآن دعاء ،🤲🏻 and قرآن ادعيه رمضان دعاء ،🕌, disseminated messages of spiritual strengthening at dawn, while quoting the Quranic verse: "Indeed, the recitation of dawn is witnessed." These channels emphasized the importance of the "dawn prayer" as an act of soul purification.
The Syria News Network called on believers to "pray for your Muslim brothers in Gaza and in other parts of the world" during the dawn prayer, while emphasizing regional solidarity. The messages shared by most of these channels focus on the connection between religious worship and the national and resistance narrative, while using terms of "steadfastness" (Thabat) and victory among the believers.
