US-Iran agreement shakes the region, while the coalition faces a severe crisis and threats of dissolution

Diplomatic Drama: Agreement of Understandings Between the United States and Iran

An international shake-up is recorded following the announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding the signing of a new digital agreement of understandings with Iran. The agreement, formulated through the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan, includes the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, the removal of the naval blockade, and permission for Iran to enrich uranium at a low level in exchange for stopping the funding of terrorism. Following the reports, global oil and gas prices fell by about 5%.

The agreement sparked severe tension between Washington and Jerusalem. President Trump attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu, calling him a "very tough guy" and claiming that without the US, Israel would not have survived. On the other hand, Netanyahu clarified that Israel is not bound by the agreement and will not withdraw from southern Lebanon.
