The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, Dr. Abd al-Hussein al-Musawi, announced a decision to grant additional marks to students in assessment exams (technical exams) across the country. According to a report by نيمار ابن الانبار || iraqedu, the goal of the measure is to "care for the future of the students" and to realize the "principle of maximum benefit."
According to reports, on the initiative of the heads of the deans' committees, students will be eligible for an addition of up to five points, or an equivalent weight to them, on the answer sheet (Bubble Sheet). This decision is valid for all fields of study participating in the exam, except for students in medical schools, according to وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع).

The Ministry of Higher Education noted that the decision was made based on statistical data submitted by the heads of the deans' committees, with the aim of enabling students to meet the required passing conditions in these exams.
