[82939] Wide-scale Russian wave of attacks in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk: Reports of damage to infrastructure
Extensive Russian attack in Ukraine: Ballistic missiles hit strategic centers
Over the past day, a wide-scale wave of Russian airstrikes was reported across Ukraine, including the use of Iskander ballistic missiles and Zircon and Kh-101 cruise missiles. The attacks focused on the capital Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk region.
DD Geopolitics, a pro-Russian channel that reports continuously on the actions of the Russian military, claimed that one of the attacks in Kyiv hit a facility of the "Nova Poshta" logistics company in the Zhuliany neighborhood. The channel added that the site was used by Ukrainian forces to store weaponry and drones, a claim they say is based on social media posts.
At the same time, WarFront Witness, a channel that presents a pro-Ukrainian and Western stance, reported that multiple hits and fires were documented in several districts in Kyiv during the combined attack. The channel noted that a Russian "Zircon" missile hit the city during the assault. Additionally, the destruction of a building defined as a "college" in the city of Dnipropetrovsk was reported.
On the technical front, DD Geopolitics noted that after the Iskander and Zircon barrages, the city of Kyiv expects another wave of UAVs and cruise missiles. Simultaneously, the channel uploaded footage of an interception using a Patriot system (PAC-3) over the capital's skies, as part of the Ukrainian response to the heavy fire.
TabZ - Alternative Media, which presents a critical stance toward Russia and supports Ukraine and the West, distributed visual documentation of the moment of the impacts in Kyiv, emphasizing the intensity of the use of ballistic missiles in the current campaign.
