During her visit, which included tours of Moscow and religious sites, Owens sparked a media storm when she repeated her claim that "there is no doubt that Brigitte Macron is a man," as reported by TASS News Agency.

According to Owens' statements, as published across various Telegram channels, including Прямой Эфир • Новости and Операция Z: Военкоры Русской Весны, the French President's wife was previously Emmanuel Macron's teacher at school. Owens even claimed that she possesses "evidence" for her allegations, which has previously led to legal action by the Macron family against her.

Owens' arrival in Russia has received extensive coverage in Russian state media, which presents her as an independent conservative voice criticizing the Western "mainstream." Channels identified with supporting the Russian narrative, such as Mardan and Дмитрий Никотин, highlighted Owens' positive impression of Moscow, claiming that "it hides the truth about Russia from the public in the West."
